According to ancient Indian Tantric tradition, all persons have seven energy centers that serve as junction points between the body and consciousness -- between matter and mind.  These centers influence our physical and emotional well-being.

In Sanskrit these are known as the Chakras.  These whirling vortices receive, assimilate, and express our life energy, our prana, our chi.  Each Chakra, or energy center, corresponds to various parts of the body’s anatomy and is associated with a different color. 

When one energy center becomes blocked, physical and mental illness can occur.  When the Chakras are open, energy flows through the body seamlessly.  We feel mentally and physically in balance.

In this four-week series we will explore each of the seven Chakras, learning both the philosophy of the Chakras in addition to the science behind them.  (Yes, really -- there is a science to this!)  We will incorporate specific Chakra-opening poses into our Asana (yoga pose) practice each week.

WHAT TO EXPECT: 
Week 1 - Intro to The Seven Chakras - Root Chakra
Week 2 - Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras
Week 3 - Heart and Throat Chakras 
Week 4 - Third Eye and Crown Chakras

WHEN: Saturday, March 7, 14, 21, and 28.  Class is 9-10 a.m. 

WHERE: Muscle Mania Fitness in Gravois Mills (Laurie), MO

COST: $60 for the full series via Venmo or PayPal to @ozarksyogi with the label of “7 Chakras".
Provide me with your phone number if new to class with me.  (Do not mark "goods/services".)

To ensure personal attention, this series is limited to only 8 students. 3 pre-registrations required to host.
