Navigating the Food Environment (April 15)

In this class brought to you by CalFresh Healthy Living and Nevada County Public Health, In this interactive class, we will discuss our current food environment, which can be tricky to navigate - it’s not always easy to find healthy food choices or sort through messages about health and nutrition. In this class we will discuss how to identify healthy food choices by using the Nutrition Facts Panel and ingredient list, evaluate health claims and nutrition information, and review the credibility of social media nutrition trends.Class includes a recipe and tasting. This will be an in-person class.
