Nevada County Consolidated Veterans Council (NCCVC) is sponsoring a FREE Community Lunch on
📅 Wednesday, November 19th | 11:30am–12:30pm
📍 Sierra Gold Community Senior Center (231 Colfax Ave, Grass Valley)
This meal is open to all who are experiencing food insecurity during the government shutdown — all ages welcome, with a special invitation to our veterans.
Lunch: Sticky Coconut Chicken & Brown Rice, Eastern Vegetable Blend and Spiced Apples!
Please RSVP so we can plan enough meals: 530-273-4961
GCSS will also have free frozen, house-made meals to take home, available beginning Wednesday, November 19th, during regular Center hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–4pm, while quantities last). These balanced meals are the same high-quality dishes we prepare for our Meals on Wheels clients, ensuring access to healthy food for those who need it most.
Healthy food and social connection are essential — especially for older adults and veterans facing isolation and financial strain this winter. Thanks to the generosity of NCCVC and community donors, we’re ensuring our neighbors stay fed, warm, and cared for.
