Miljenko “Mike” Grgich was the legendary Croatian-American winemaker who co-founded Grgich Hills Estate in 1977 after his 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay won the 1976 "Judgment of Paris," putting Napa Valley on the map. His nephew, Ivo Jeramaz, now leads winemaking, continuing a legacy of sustainable, 100% estate-grown, Regenerative Organic Certified wines. Mike enjoyed a full & 100 years of fruitful life, passing away in 2023, and his daughter Violet continues his tradition of hospitality, overseeing operations & marketing. 100% Estate-Grown Fruit: Unlike many large wineries, Grgich Hills produces its wines exclusively from grapes grown on its own properties.
