- **Event Description**: Join us at Swatara State Park as we explore the forest with our partner Pioneer Bushcraft & Supply!

 

Starting at Sand Siding parking lot, we will begin our travels towards the famous Bordners Cabin. Along the way we'll stop to learn some plant identification, backpacking/camping tips and tricks, local history such as the Pine Grave Branch of the Union Canal, and enjoying the beautiful scenery the park offers!

 

It is advised to bring sunscreen, bug spray, drinking water, comfortable shoes, and a backpack. This hike will be a total of 3 miles, and we will be stopping to eat lunch at Bordners Cabin, so please bring a packed lunch!

 

Registration is not required but preferred.

We will be meeting at Sand Siding Parking Lot (40.504088, -76.510513)
