Meet us at Lake Twenty-Two Trailhead or let us know if you would like a ride to the hike and get ready to enjoy the great outdoors and connect with the Latino Community. Don't forget your water, snacks, and good vibes!We will meet at the trailhead at 9:00am and do a quick introduction of everyone before heading onto the hike.Cafecito y Panecito:We will provide coffee and pan dulce!⁠Meet at the Hemple Creek Picnic Area across the road from the Lake 22 Trailhead⁠We will be there beginning around 8:30am and we will hang around until around 9:15/9:30am when we’ll pack up and head on the hike.⁠Plenty of parking at the picnic area where we will be hosting the little chisme sesh before the hike.⁠Please park at this picnic area if possible as its more spacious!⁠As the hike is at your own time, everyone is welcome to start the hike whenever they please but come hang out and find a hiking buddy!Prep for the Hike:Bring hiking boots and hiking spikes/crampons. Hiking poles are recommended. A portion of hike will be icy. We will keep and eye out on conditions.Bring layers. A moisture wicking t-shirt (most workout shirts), a light sweater that can keep you warm (fleece, down sweater, etc), and a rain jacket as its possible it can be raining during the hike. A beanie and gloves are also recommended.Bring plenty of water and a light lunch (the famous sandwich aplastado is always good) as well as snacks (trail mix, fruits, etc.)Hike Difficulty: Moderate. It could be a lightly more difficult if there's significant ice in the trail.Entrance Fee: Northwest Forest Pass is needed per vehicle.Parking: Available with Northwest Forest Pass, spaces are limited so please carpool if possible.Transportation: We plan on coordinating rides if possible, but we are simply inviting members (and anyone else!) to meet at the trail for some fun!Please fill out the your information in the sign up form and we'll help you arrange carpool/transportaion logistics.
