Greeting Card E-Z Cut Class with Brad Hall

E-Z cut blocks are easy to carve & print, no experience necessary! The students will create a set of Five cards, with envelopes. You can bring your own 4”x 6” image. A very simple image is recommended. Think cartoon. Or there are samples to choose from. We will print with water soluble ink and a rolling pin.
Rub graphite from the side of a pencil on back of 4” x 6” design. Use thumbtacks to hold paper in place. Trace with pencil on front of design to transfer to block. Darken your design on the block with a sharpie if needed.
Carve the E-Z cut block in pattern desired. Place a dab of ink on your glass inking area with the putty knife, and roll it out with the brayer. Roll out a thin layer of ink on your block. Place blank paper on top of inked block. Roll over the paper with the rolling pin. Peel off the paper and then let dry for a few minutes. Congrats, you made a print! Fast, Fun and Easy!
