February Welcome Home Wall Art - Ceramic Workshop

Come along and enjoy a small group class with local ceramicist Ruth Elliott(IG @ruthelliottmakes). In this workshop, you will be guided in making your very own version of a decorative ceramic house that which will be glazed and fired ready to hang on your wall a few weeks later!

As seen at The Plant Bunker, these hanging ceramic homes are perfect mini planters for airplants, baby cacti or oldmans beard...alternatively you could design your own version to incorporate mini shelves, hooks for keys and jewellery or keep it purely decorative...the choice is yours.

All the hard work will have been done for you. Starting with a rolled slab of clay, Ruth will guide you through the design and construction of a house (maximum A4 size). Please note, given space and time constraints, this workshop is designed to produce one piece only (unless of course you are all done, and have time to make your own miniature or two...).

Clay, tools and guidance will be provided. BYO creativity (but don't stress if you feel like you don't have a lot to give - Ruth can help you find your inner creative).

Creating something from scratch and by hand really is a wonderful personal journey and a great way to relax and get back in touch with your inner calm. Gifting a workshop to someone else can also be a great way to share creativity and gift without excessive consumption.

This workshop requires no prior pottery skills. Please note: this particular workshop requires some patience and dexterity and so, the Pinch Pot Planter workshops may be more suitable for kids.

Your creations will be clear or white glazed as in the images above (if desired) and fired ready for collection from The Plant Bunker approximately 6-8 weeks after your workshop.

Feel free to BYO drinks and nibbles, however table space is very limited! Cold drinks and cookies/slices can be purchased separately at The Plant Bunker, however, please come early to buy, so that time isn't taken away from the workshop. If you wish to have a little look around and shop prior to or after the workshop you are also welcome to do so.

- No previous experience is required. This workshop is great for beginners or experienced creatives alike.

- Workshops can be messy so feel free to bring an apron if you wish.

- This workshop is suitable for all, from individuals to couples and groups.

- Maximum class size is 8 people so please be quick.

PS - we do not offer refunds for this event. We do however let you transfer the ticket to someone else if you cannot attend yourself - thanks for the understanding.
