- **Event Description**: Our next Warrior Wednesday will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, and is open to all active-military, veterans, first responders, and spouses.

We are honored and excited to welcome Mitch Roberts, a United States Marine Corps Veteran, who will be sharing his powerful testimony of going from being fallen and bound in chains to freedom—and now fighting for others.

Mitch joined the Marine Corps at the age of 23, serving as a machine gunner with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines. During his first deployment to Fallujah, Iraq, Mitch experienced deep trauma when, within the first few days in country, his best friend attempted suicide. He continued to serve in an environment he describes as a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah.

By the end of his deployment, over 25 Marines were killed and more than 200 wounded, many left as amputees. Carrying overwhelming guilt and pain, Mitch turned to alcohol and drugs, which led to multiple suicide attempts, including a suicide-by-cop standoff.

While in a VA Mental Health Hospital, Mitch was given the book Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer. As he read, he knew the Lord was speaking directly to him. In that moment, Mitch surrendered his life fully to the Father.

That surrender eventually led him to Warriors Set Free, where he found true freedom and a real relationship with Jesus Christ—and a calling to fight for others who are still bound.
