What to Expect:
Grief is not only about death; it can be the loss of a relationship, a version of yourself, sense of safety, or the weight of what we are witnessing in the world. This evening weaves heart-opening cacao, a guided grief meditation, group SRT clearing for personal and collective grief, and a restorative sound bath to support nervous system. 

Cacao Ceremony ? 
Cacao, the "food of the gods," is a powerful heart-opening plant medicine used for centuries in ceremonial practices across Central and South America. Our journey will begin with a cacao ceremony, where you will be served a nurturing cup of ethically sourced cacao. Known for its ability to deepen emotional insights, cacao opens the heart and aligns us with the body’s natural capacity to self-soothe and receive nourishment during winter . Cacao also contains anandamide, the "bliss molecule," which promotes feelings of warmth, clarity, and gentle uplift.

Group Spiritual Response Therapy Clearing (SRT) ?

SRT works at the subconscious and soul levels to release energetic blocks, limiting beliefs, and emotional patterns.

In this grief-focused clearing, we’ll gently support:
~ Shock or disbelief held in the nervous system
~ Suppressed tears or unexpressed emotion
~ Guilt or unfinished emotional threads
~ The pressure to be strong
~ Grief that feels stuck or prolonged
~ Emotional armoring around the heart
~ Collective grief

Sound Bath?
The second half of our journey will be immersed in a deeply healing sound bath, where you will be surrounded by the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls, drums, and chimes. Sound healing is a powerful tool for harmonizing the body’s energy, calming the nervous system, and promoting deep relaxation, helping you enter a meditative state of integration and release.

About Your Host:
Megan Mahoney is a counselling therapist at Awaken Counselling and Holistic Services. Megan has a passion for holistic approaches to mental health and wellbeing, seeing the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit. Through her own healing journey, Megan has discovered the power of plant medicine, integration, and holistic healing practices. As a lifelong learner, Megan is trained in various holistic modalities, including Breathwork, Reiki, Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Embodied Dreamwork, and trauma-informed plant medicine facilitation.
