There is no cost to attend these workshops.About NARCAN Training:Presented by Robert BurnsThis session covers how to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses using NARCAN (naloxone), a life-saving Medic*tion that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Participants will learn how to administer NARCAN and understand the critical steps to take during an overdose emergency. Participants will also receive a NARCAN kit.About safeTALK:Presented by Alicia Dhason and Kyle RamossafeTALK is a half-day, evidence-based workshop that teaches participants to recognize individuals with thoughts of suicide and connect them with life-saving resources. Through presentations, practice, and group discussion, you will learn to notice warning signs, engage with empathy, and refer individuals to appropriate support.
