- **Event Description**: The Capstone Volunteers are a Detroit indie rock band known for their guitar driven sound, with energetic songs that build one bar at a time for the ultimate explosion and emotional release, which fuels their performances. The group was formed in 2022 with guitarist Felipe Fernandes and drummer Ryan Homrocky. For a couple years, the group got together once a month to play covers for fun. It wasn’t until the addition of singer/guitarist Stone Goniea that the band began to take original music seriously. With the later addition of bass player Kyle Nightingale and guitarist Joey Diaz, the band found their sound. Three guitars and music that means something to them and their fans.

The Westside is a five-piece indie rock band that’s been collectively jamming since 2018. Blending groovy baselines and with dynamic riffs and rhythms. They released their fourth album this past September, featuring introspective songwriting about life’s struggles, inspired by the city and history of Grand Rapids.

Since their debut at Park Theatre’s open mic in 2023 with their unique blend of rock genres, “Lie.” has been carving out their place in West Michigan’s music scene. This five-piece ensemble combines dual lead guitars, engaging keyboard, and striking group harmonies to create a sound that’s as diverse as it is compelling. Drawing inspiration from alternative and indie rock to timeless oldies and classic influences, “Lie.” has earned comparisons to both genre-defying and defining icons like CAKE and The Band. Their fresh take on rock is both nostalgic and modern, leaving a lasting impression on every listener.

The Stray is a music and arts cafe located in Grand Rapids, MI. In addition to our craft beer, coffee and wine selection, our kitchen will be open serving our full dinner menu until 9pm!
