More than just a new year's party, we are aware of the times we live in. Y-Not is hosting this evening as a celebration of community and a collaboration of activists from Grand Rapids and Chicago to welcome in the new year with empowerment and intention! Only the Middle is a harmony dominant and spiritually activist based collective designed to set the space for Chicago based Adam Gottlieb and One Love.

Adam Gottlieb & OneLove are a Chicago-based Fusion band serving "songs for the revolution" since 2014. They are ordinary people from diverse backgrounds fighting for survival, liberation, and justice for all, delivering upbeat music for the movement that blends Reggae, Blues, Folk, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Hip Hop, Latin, and more. Their 2020 album “All of You” was nominated for “Best Local Album” in the Chicago Reader’s Best of Chicago awards. In 2022 they performed live at AEMMP Record’s South by Southwest showcase. They are among the original artist-organizers for the annual Soul Rebels concert honoring the life and legacy of Bob Marley since 2019. Several of them are among the founding members of Songs for Liberation Protest Music Collective in Chicago.

These powerful groups have been on the streets of Chicago resisting ICE and have so much to offer as they use their empowering messaging to raise the energy of the crowd. Y-Not will lead up until midnight as we share intentions for the new year and howl into the night with community!
