- **Event Description**: During Lent we make room for God to work, to fill, to come— a Holy Light spilling in, over and through us. Using image and poetry, we will engage the ancient practices of visio and lectio divina as we pay attention to the Light of Christ, noticing how Scripture, poetry and visual art invite us to a sacred awe that warms, strengthens and invites. This will be a contemplative interchange with the Spirit through art and prayer. 

Visio divina is a way of prayer that lingers with the image or something we are beholding with our eyes and deepens us into encounter with God. Lectio divina is similar except that we use words, whether Scripture or poetry or some other text. We will practice lectio divina both out loud and reading internally.
In both we will hold space to reflect and allow the Light of Christ to illuminate, warm, and touch our hearts.
