Then acts of mercy for those enmeshed in poverty, wickedness & hunger season the world with God’s graciousness & righteousness. In these moments, God’s favor is made known, light shines, good works are done, and God alone is glorified. (Psalm 119:9-16; Isaiah 58:3-9a; 1 Corinthians 2:1-16; Matthew 5:13-20)
