Rosetta “Rosie” Peters is a Minnesota-based poet, author, public speaker, storyteller, and activist. She is excited to be a part of the revitalization of her ancestral language, Dakota, which is currently being taught at the University of Minnesota. She is of Yankton, Crow Creek, and Oglala descent. Rosetta hopes to learn the language and pass it on to future generations.

Participants from this workshop have an opportunity to share their writing on February 25th and open a livingroom concert for Rosetta ‘Rosie’ Peters and JG Everest hosted by Fire in the Village at the Old Central School.
