Start the new year with a day of wellness at GRAM. Explore mini-meditation sessions and “Slow Art” activities throughout the museum’s galleries to connect with the artwork in new and meaningful ways.
Take part in a variety of “Slow Art” activities that emphasize the practice of taking our time to look at art longer to truly see the details, form opinions, and experience emotions. Plus, enjoy artmaking projects and a special musical performance by Nap Party.
- Mini-meditation sessions in the permanent collection galleries (10:30-11 am, 11:45 am-12:15 pm, and 1:15-1:45 pm)
- Mini-sound bath sessions in the exhibition The Matte of Awe: Landscapes in Art (11:10-11:40 am and 3-3:30 pm)
- Drop-In Studio artmaking: Creative Photo Collages (11 am-3 pm)
- See, Think, Wonder activity guided by Docents (10 am-4 pm)
- 11 Word Poem activity (10 am-4 pm)
- Live Music Performance by Nap Party (2-2:45pm) Nap Party invites listeners to curl up in a blanket and settle into an imaginative state while they co-create one-of-a-kind songs without words, decorated with the soothing textures of violin, viola, accordion, guitar, tongue drum, and voices.
