2-time West Michigan Blues Champions, Asamu Johnson and The Associates of The Blues keep the Blues alive while making their fans smile and dance.
Johnson and his group mates have had all eyes and ears on them at venues and events across the nation including Chenango Blues Fest in NY, Teddy's Juke Joint in Baton Rouge, Pee Dee Blues Bash in SC, B.B. King's Blue Club in Memphis, Buddy Guy's Legends bar in Chicago, and ArtPrize WYCE Blue Bridge Music Fest in their native Grand Rapids, Ml.
Glowing under the brightest spotlights, Asamu and The Associates claimed their two regional championships at the International Blues Festival in two consecutive years - 2016 and 2017. They even opened for Blues legend Koko Taylor, another highlight on their list of remarkable accolades.
