A Glimpse of Africa is the largest annual African Cultural Festival in Grand Rapids and West Michigan. It is a Free-Family Friendly event that will showcase the rich, diverse, and beautiful cultures from different African countries, through fashion, art, food, dance, music, poetry, and arts and crafts as well as family and kids interactive educational activities 

 

The event will be at Calder Plaza 300 Monroe Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 

On Saturday, August 8, 2025, from 10:30 am to 10:00 P.M.
Sunday August 9, 2025 from 10:30 am to 5:30pm 

 The festival will feature:

·       Authentic African foods

·       Fashion designers and models showcasing a variety of African clothing

·       Vendors selling authentic African prints, carvings, and other merchandise.

·       Entertainment by local talented DJ’s, and dancers 

·       Interactive activities and much more.
