The ruleset each duelist begins with is the one they will compete under by default, unless fencing under another duelist’s ruleset. The ruleset for each individual match is decided by rock-paper-scissors — the winner gets to use their ruleset for that bout. To prevent trolling or overly technical bouts (e.g., 1-hit hand snipes), all rulesets must include a minimum of 3 scoring strikes per duel. Beyond that, we recommend keeping your ruleset simple, both for your sake and your opponent’s — too many rules just slow things down. Want to engage in a matched weapons duel? Bring two of your preferred weapons to loan your opponent if needed. Each competitor must bring a Second — another registered participant who will serve as judge for your duels, and for whom you will judge in turn. If you don't arrive with a Second, you’ll be paired with someone from the Secondless pool at registration. To start the day, all duelists will fence their Seconds — just to get it out of the way and warm up. --- ⚖️ Conduct & Sportsmanship Any competitor found to be using excessive force, intimidation, or bullying will face the following consequences: 1. First offense – Formal warning 2. Second offense – One win deducted from your total 3. Third offense – Ejection from the event We are here to raise money, not bruises. Be cool. --- ?
