- **Event Description**: You are welcome each Sunday in Advent, at 8:00pm, for the brief and meditative service of Compline by Candlelight. Compline are the ancient night prayers of the church, traditionally said before you go to sleep. In this service, they will be sung in traditional Gregorian chant. Led by our St. Benedict's ensemble, you are welcome to sit with them in the chancel or down in the nave. You can sing with them using the bulletin or just sit and let the prayers wash over you. Whether you come once in Advent or each week, you are most welcome in this quiet and meditative space.

On the final Sunday in Advent, December 21, at 8:00pm, we will observe our final Compline by Candlelight in a slightly deepened form. In addition to singing the ancient night prayers of the church (Compline), we will close with the meditative devotion of Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament—a time to rest quietly in the presence of Christ, even as we anticipate the celebration of his birth in just a few days.
