- **Event Description**: The 5th annual John H. Schaff Platform Tennis Classic is a fun and competitive tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to help raise awareness about sleep apnea. All funds raised through the event go to the Cleveland Clinic Sleep Disorders Center to advance sleep apnea research, education and awareness.

The tournament is hosted by Mary Schaff in honor of her late husband, John Schaff. An avid platform tennis player, John passed away at the age of 57 in part due to complications with sleep apnea, a highly treatable condition that impacts more than an estimated 22 million people in the United States. Since John’s passing, Mary has become an ardent advocate for education and awareness surrounding sleep apnea, and has developed a close relationship with Dr. Nancy Foldvary-Schaefer, DO, MS, Director of the Sleep Disorders Center at Cleveland Clinic.

The tournament is a fun event for players of all abilities! We hope you’ll join us at Kent Country Club on Feb. 21 & Feb. 22 to help the cause!

When: Friday, Feb. 22, and Saturday, Feb. 23
•	Friday matches begin at 5:00 p.m.
•	Saturday matches begin at 7:30 a.m.

Who: Players of all skill levels are welcome

Cost: $75 per Paddle (3 games minimum) includes:
•	Tournament tee shirt
•	Friday night party with food and beer provided
•	Breakfast, lunch and beverages on Saturday
