In our flood-prone, fire-prone and mudslide-prone area, we must plan and prepare for extreme Water and Mud flows down our residential streets.While you cannot easily STOP the flow of water or mud, you can certianly slow it down and/or properly divert the flow with SANDBAGS.We will show you how to properly fill a sandbag and, yes, you will get to fill some sandbags.We will build a 'Sandbag wall', insuring its integrity along the way.This event is NOT AT FIRE STATION 87.In order to allow the participants to experience how to fill the sandbags, we are using the Parking Lot at Knollwood Country Clum (adjacent to Fire Station 18). We have ordered sand and sandbags for our exercise.This is a 'Community meeting' so all community members are welcome to attend. For those who are not yet in CERT, you are welcome to attend the lecture and participate with the CERT members during the skills portion.
