- **Event Name**: Species Spectacular - Christmas edition
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 27 Dec, 2025 at 05:00 am – Mon, 29 Dec, 2025 at 02:00 pm
- **Event Description**: Here are some details, however a complete set of details and rules will be attached to entry forms, and gone through at the skippers briefing.

Entrance fee is R350 which includes a braai pack, salad and rolls for each angler. Extra braai packs will be available at the bar.

Competition is open to all ski-boats and jet skis with valid COF and all anglers who hold a valid fishing permit.

Details:

1. Registration will be at the Port Alfred River and Ski Boat club on 26 December 2025 between 15:00 - 17:00, however can be arranged prior by contacting JJ French on 0785998573

2. Skippers briefing is COMPULSORY and will be held at the Port Alfred river and Ski Boat Club at 18:00 26 December 2025. No grievances will be entertained by the convenor if a skipper is absent.

3. Competition date will run from 27 - 29 December 2025, 1 best day out of the 3. Decision will be taken by the appointed safety officers (Joe Lee, James Thomson, JJ French) on the morning of each day. Sea conditions will be evaluated by the safety boat during the course of the day.

4. Weigh in will be at PARSC. Scales open at 14:00. Fish to be at the scale or in a queue by 14:00. There will be NO EXTRA TIME. Fish not in queue by 14:00 will result in immoderate disqualification.

5. Launching only allowed from kowie river mouth. Launching will be from 05:00.

6. None of the following species will count:
-Copper Steenbras
-Black mussel cracker
-Yellowbelly Rockod
-Seventy fours
-Sharks
(These are endangered species and we are trying to protect our stocks)

7. Prize giving will be held at PARSC at 18:00 on the day of fishing.
