Description: Join us for an evening with the featured guest speakers, Palmer McIntyre & Hollis Oberlies, authors of Trails and Treats: A Hiker and Runner’s Guide to Great Trails and Good Eats. Enjoy an engaging talk about a trail guide written by women from North Carolina! This inspiring book combines two favorite activities, hiking and trail running, along with mouthwatering food ideas to enhance your outdoor adventures. Created for all ages and experience levels, the guide helps you plan memorable days exploring our beautiful state. Featuring hikes and runs across the regions of North Carolina, it proves you don’t have to travel far to discover incredible trails and delicious eats! Books will be available for purchase, with a signing opportunity following the talk. Bookmarks and stickers for participants will also be available.

About the Authors: "Palmer and Hollis met in Greensboro, North Carolina, when their daughters became best friends in elementary school. They have hiked and biked many miles together on trails and roads ever since, including a 50-mile backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail, the 40-mile Bike New York, and RAGBRAI, the annual 500+ mile bike ride across Iowa. Hollis and Palmer love all kinds of trail adventures and never pass up the opportunity to fuel themselves with delicious (and mostly nutritious) eats." - Source: https://trailsandtreats.com/
