BRAVE participants to join us
BRAVE (Building Resilience through Action in VEterans and first responders) 
.......for an afternoon of fun, relaxation & exploring the horse ~ human connection.June 20th, 2026 Saturday. 1pm to 4pm
Activities:
 Language of the Horse: How does a horse think and what does that mean for us. (Demo: Lisa Docter)
Meet and Greet: the horses of Thunderhorse.
 One on one time with horses, brushing and tending.
 Learn horse on the ground basic handling skills.
 Saddle time. (more on the ground handling for those not riding).
 Special Guest: Jo Donner. Det. Donner will briefly talk about what her horse connection has meant to 
her as a first responder, 26 yr Police Officer and Detective for the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office. 15 yrs of 
that as a Mounted Patrol Officer with her Equine partner: Hero.
Max 6 core participants plus support staff. Light Refreshments provided.
This is an indoor/outdoor event at a working 150 yr old Homestead Farm site, expect working farm conditions. Rain or 
Shine. Dress comfortably for the weather with closed toed footwear. 
All participants and guests must sign a liability waiver.
Riding is not required. If Riding: Helmets are required and can be provided. Riders are required to be able to mount from a
standard mounting block and dismount with minimal assistance.
ES dogs are welcome. Parking provided by the Barns.
