Caregiver Get-Together

Are you a caregiver for someone in your life? Join us at the Gowanda Free Library, where Alison from The Cattaraugus County Department of Aging will host a gathering to help you learn about valuable resources available in our community.

The Family Caregiver Support Program provides essential information, assistance, counseling, training, and respite care information. For family caregivers, the program is intended to help sustain their efforts to care for an older relative with a chronic illness or disability and to promote the ability of these individuals to remain in their homes and local communities, rather than be placed in residential facilities.

Assistance may include caregiver videos, training, workshops, support groups, or counseling for caregivers, and other supportive activities.
