Gothenburg Fringe Opening event
PART 1: The Opening
String Theory Harp, a world-leading performance ensemble within its genre, is heading from LA to Gothenburg to participate in a unique musical performance extravaganza based around a piece of Swedish history.
The site-specific performance on Stigbergstorget includes original music by String Theory Harp together with music and story concept from the film script Frozen Waterfall. It will be performed by String Theory Harp together with Swedish opera singers and actors. We are very happy welcome Mats Persson from the Gothenburg Opera in the role of Lars Gathenhielm.
It is the well preserved 17th century house at Stigbergstorget (Gathenhielmska Huset) together with the mythical real-life stories of the royal privateer couple Ingela and Lars Gathenhielm that have attracted this happening. Initiators, producers and co-creators are Studio Gathenhielm duon, director Isabel Lagos and opera singer Kalle Leander.
The opening event is part of a long term collaboration with Higab to develop cultural activities around Gathenhielmska culture reserve.
