It's A Wonderful Life

A Christmas classic from 1946 and considered one of the greatest films of all time, being nominated for five Academy awards including Best Picture.

On Christmas Eve, George Bailey (James Stewart) is thinking about ending it all when a guardian angel from heaven, Clarence, is sent down to him. Clarence then proceeds to show flashbacks what his town would have been like without all his good deeds, in an attempt to convince George to change his mind.
