He started his learning at the age of 2 under the tutelage of his father Shri Anupam Karmakar. His first public performance with tiny fingers happened in 2002 at Balagharh Shastriya Sangeet Samaj when he was just 2.5 years. Hello stood first in Sangeet Piyasi(2014), Chetla Murari(2015), and He got CCRT National Scholarship from Ministry of Culture in 2019. He also stood First in Youth Festival, West Bengal, Govt of West Bengal and received Gold Medal in Punjab Inter University Tabla Competition. In Educational aspect Prantar studied also Music and completed Bachelor and was University Topper in Masters.
