Iyad Burnat is a prominent Palestinian activist known for his leadership in nonviolent resistance against the Israeli occupation. As the head of the Bil’in Popular Committee, Burnat has organized weekly protests since 2005, attracting international attention and support. His efforts have been pivotal in highlighting the struggles of Palestinians living under occupation and advocating for their rights through peaceful means.

A Voice from the West Bank: Bil’in has long stood as a global beacon of nonviolent resistance. Today, as the village faces intensified economic pressure, land encroachment, and ongoing repression, the community’s resilience is being tested like never before.

To share these critical stories firsthand, Iyad, the head of the Friends of Freedom and Justice (FFJ), is currently on a US speaking tour. He is meeting with communities across the country to bridge the gap between global solidarity and the urgent reality on the ground in the West Bank.
