Funds raised by ticket sales will be donated to the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics.

Colin LaMura, age 2, lives with Angelman Syndrome—a rare neurogenetic disorder that affects about one in 15,000 people, causing a genetic difference on chromosome 15 that impacts brain functioning. He is the youngest son of longtime USTA Eastern staffer Monica LaMura.

“What I’ve learned is that Angelman Syndrome is the neurogenetic disorder with the most potential for a cure when compared to disorders with similar characteristics,” Monica says. “I’m excited to galvanize the tennis community to bring out their families at Red Ball Tennis events during Rare Disease Month to contribute to this worthy cause!”
