AcousticMusicScene.com partners with Tribes Hill in hosting late-night open song circles under a big, white canopy tent. The song circles will extend from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. overnight , Thursday-Saturday, during the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.
“For those camping on the fairgrounds, the late-night musical revelry featuring an array of informal jams, unplugged artist showcases and open song circles that help foster a sense of folk community have long been a festival highlight,” says Michael Kornfeld, editor & publisher of AcousticMusicScene.com. Following an extended hiatus, the public relations professional’s online publication for the folk, roots and singer-songwriter communities in the U.S. and Canada is resuming its partnership with Tribes Hill (an organization uniting musicians and their patrons in New York’s Lower Hudson Valley and beyond. He and Rick Rock, Tribes Hill’s founder, welcome performing artists and fans to enjoy late-night music and cameraderie under a 18’ X 26’ canopy tent. Although its precise location is not yet known, it will be indicated here, as well as in the AcousticMusicScene.com, Tribes Hill and Friends of Falcon Ridge Folk Festival groups on Facebook on Thursday afternoon, July 24.
Although guests are welcome to bring their own seating, folding chairs will be assembled in a circle for performing artists.
