- **Event Description**: Come show your support for the Androscoggin Valley Search & Rescue (AVSAR) whose mission is to assist New Hampshire Fish and Game, U.S. Forest Service, and other rescue agencies in carrying out backcountry search and rescue operations in the White Mountain National Forest (WMNF) region. 

While centered in the Gorham-Randolph area, its members — around 80 people — reside in all corners of the WMNF region, and respond to authorities’ requests for assistance throughout the area when called upon. AVSAR members are volunteers and have “day jobs” which include state park personnel, forest rangers, mountain guides, educators, contractors, accountants, IT personnel, small business owners, and others.

Music performance by Patrick Ross 7-8pm.

Patrick Ross: 
Vermont born, fifth generation fiddle player, Patrick Ross won the Vermont-State Fiddle Championship at age fourteen. He has performed at the Grand Ole Opry and shared stages with Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Paul McCartney. He works and teaches in collaboration with the Vermont Folklife Center and has recently started an independent record label called Rock Farmer Records with the mission of producing, recording and preserving Roots music. His solo concerts include a world wide range of fiddle styles as well as songs he has penned with guitar, banjo, mandolin and cello.
