?Come down to the Seaward Downs Hall to test your water for nitrates and to help future-proof your land! ?
The Edendale Aquifer Group are excited to continue with our monthly nitrate testing sessions in an effort to improve the water quality in our Catchment. By bringing a water sample to our monthly testing sessions, you’re not just checking your own water—you’re contributing to a bigger picture. Every sample helps us track what’s going on across the entire Catchment, and supports our larger project to understand nitrogen movement, helping us develop practical, long-term solutions for farming while protecting our waterways.
Monthly nitrate testing with Portable Nitrogen Tester - this measures the total nitrogen concentration of the water within 30 seconds!
All you need to do is:
?choose your location to sample (this might be anywhere, from your kitchen tap, through to a healthy looking stream running through your farm)
?use a clean jar.
?triple rinse the jar in the chosen waterbody on the day of sampling
?come along and sample your water with the EAG!
Note: the day of sampling will not change based on the weather. This is to help us gather data through all weather events, and gather a true reflection of what is occurring
