About the event

Buckled on Their Armor: the 165th of the Start of the Civil War

"Buckled on Their Armor" will be an immersive living history event to commemorate the beginning of the Civil War and the mustering of Virginia volunteer companies following Virginia's secession from the Union. This event will include drills, enlistment demonstrations, oath taking, voting demonstrations, uniform, and displays, and more! The event is being hosted by the Exchange Hotel Civil War Medical Museum and the 19th Virginia Infantry, Co. B.
