Elke Louise

Is an emerging Australian singer-songwriter crafting

intimate, slow-burning indie-folk with a voice that feels both

unguarded and quietly powerful. At just 19, her songwriting has

already traced a path from bedroom solitude to fully realised

releases, capturing the emotional aftershocks of growing up,

letting go, and leaning into vulnerability.

Following her debut single Killing Time, a reflective introduction to

her inner world, and the haunting, atmospheric follow-up

Sandman, Elke has begun to carve out a distinct sonic identity

defined by honesty, restraint, and lyrics that aren’t afraid.

Her debut EP Lavender, release in April 2026, marks a deeper

bloom, recorded at Mantle Records with Clare Quinn and

Lawrence Menard of Those Folk. Written across pivotal moments

of transition, the collection moves through themes of isolation,

tenderness, and first love, grounded by her signature ability to

make the personal feel universal. The title track, born from a

writers’ retreat and a self-imposed challenge to finally write a love

song, signals a turning point in both tone and confidence.

Balancing study, live performance, and recording, Elke Louie is

part of a new wave of regional artists whose work feels expansive

despite quiet beginnings, as recognised by two award

nominations at the 2026 Sunshine Coast Music Awards, for Young

Artist Of The Year, and Artwork Of The Year for the self-directed

‘Killing Time’ videoElke has begun making her mark on the live circuit across

Southeast Queensland, performing standout solo sets at some

iconic venues and festivals. She has opened for notable acts

including Kristy Apps, Aspy Jones, Lucy Gallant and Babyshakes

Dillon of Full Flower Moon Band, all while still in high school—

showcasing her maturity as a performer.

In addition to her solo work, Elke fronts indie rock band Hugo and

the Hive, formed with their closest friends from Gympie State

High School. Her ability to move effortlessly between soul-stirring

folk ballads and energy of indie rock band-driven performances

highlights the artistic range of this young talent.

Influenced by artists like Gregory Alan Isakov, Big Thief, Jose

Gonzalez, and Villagers, and beyond with a deep appetite for

retro music exploration.

Emma Quit The Bakery

Emma Quit the Bakery is a brand new folk trio comprising

of Katia Smith and Emma Douw, two Sunshine Coast locals

who have been singing together since high school,

accompanied by guitarist and singer/songwriter extraordinaire Jordy Lawrence (Calan Mai).

The trio walks the line between heartfelt and hilarious, balancing story telling,

three part harmonies, and the realness of a band that is just working it out as they go.

Lily-Rose

is a 19 year old multi-instrumentalist from Rainbow Beach.

She combines indie folk with elements of jazz and soul to

communicate a captivating, metaphorical journey of storytelling.

Her songwriting is unexpected and evokes authenticity.

Lily uses her saxophone to create a diverse layer to her musicality and performance

putting her outside of the genre box.

When she isn’t playing solo, Lily-Rose is performing with her High energy indie rock band

called Wholesale Noise. They have supported big Australian Indie Rock names like Bootleg Rascal,

The Grogans as well as Rum jungle and Great Gable at Half Baked.

Whether it be stripped back or full bodied music,

Lily explores the endless concept of genre and style, creating a unique experience for every audience.
