Join us for the best blues in SEQ, with our Host Band, the amazing, Shade Hadie.  
Influenced by the likes of Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Ten Years After, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac and Captain Beefheart, these guys will transport you back to the small blues clubs in Australia and the UK in the early 60s. If you are ever concerned about the future of the “Blues” come along and see that you do not need to be concerned any longer. 
Our Band spot is filled by Crimson Blue. Powerhouse vocalist, Joanne Edwards, leads this experienced, five-piece band with a set of pounding Blues.  The band members are strong supporters of the BASEQ Blues Jam and I am sure we will see them playing at other local venues soon. One established band spot is normally available. This spot is designed to give new bands an opportunity to play together in front of an audience. To avoid disappointment, it is best to pre book the band spot with the President. The band spot is 20 minutes.
Musicians and bands please note, the event is a Blues Jam rather than an open mic.
Musicians / Vocalists can register with the MC from 12.30pm and the MC will put 6 or 7 bands together from the musicians that have registered. Each set of musicians get a 15-minute slot. The Jam is tailored to individuals rather than bands that want to play a short set. If you arrive and register by 1pm I can almost guarantee you will get to play, unless you are drummer number 8.
If you want to get up and Jam come early, put you name down with the President and enjoy watching the other performers.
Backline and drum kit supplied.
Host band kick off at 1 pm for their first set, so be early and grab a seat, a drink or two from the bar and a bite to eat from the kitchen.
Jammers start at 1.50pm. The Host band, will finish off the day with another set from around 4:15 to 5pm
