This isn't your typical field trip; we'll have the opportunity to learn directly from Shawna about her beautiful homestead while exploring several areas of science and agriculture through real-life experiences. WHAT WE'LL EXPLORE: 🌸 Pollinator Garden We'll explore the important role pollinators play in our ecosystem and learn about creating and caring for pollinator-friendly spaces. πŸ¦‹ Monarchs & Migration We'll learn about the monarch butterfly, its incredible migration, and the importance of conservation. There is even a possibility that we may get to witness a monarch release! 🐐 Nigerian Dwarf Goat Encounter Children will have an opportunity to spend time with and interact with the Nigerian Dwarf goats while learning more about these adorable animals and life on the farm. 🧴 Make Goat Milk Lotion We'll finish our farm experience with a hands-on activity where students will learn about goat milk products and make their own goat milk lotion! 🌱 Life on the Homestead Throughout our visit, Shawna will share about Junie B Farms, homesteading, caring for animals, growing food, conservation, and the many ways science can be found in everyday farm life.
