KHC presents: PIQSIQ and Oh Pray Tell

Opening the show is Oh Pray Tell, led by Shayna Jones, Sally Titasey and Betty Supple, weaves elements of folk storytelling, spoken word and performance art into three-part, soulful harmonies and lays them down over pulsing rhythms.

PIQSIQ has a style perpetually galvanized by darkness and haunting northern beauty, sisters Tiffany Ayalik and Inuksuk Mackay come together to create Inuit style throat singing duo. Performing ancient traditional songs and eerie new compositions, they leave their listeners enthralled with their ability to weave complex emotional landscapes that transcend language.
