The Golden Nordic Ski Club is excited to host the first annual DM Dust Off.
Where: Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre, 1690 Hector Trail, Golden, BC.
When: Friday, December 5 at 2 pm until Sunday, December 7 at 4 pm.
Who: This weekend is for adults and mature youth who want to hone their skiing skills, improve their fitness, and have fun with like-minded Nordic skiers. Capped at 40 people to keep it a small-town feel.
What: We will be cross-country skiing, socializing, improving technique and enjoying the start of the season together in a fun way. Lessons are included by certified instructors/coaches.
Cost: The registration fee is $45 plus 5% GST for Golden Nordic Ski Club Members and $80 + 5% GST for non-members. There are options for an additional cost. All proceeds will go to the Golden Nordic Ski Club. The fees will go up to $55 for members and $100 for non-members after November 30th.
Includes: Being a part of a great community of like-minded cross-country skiers, optional ski lessons, and video analysis, trail fees, Saturday chili lunch, Friday night refreshments, and a great kick-start to your ski season. All participants will receive a gift bag.
Added options: Get Rat - Stay Rad seminar, yoga, and biathlon sessions.

2:00 - 5:00 pm: Arrival, sign-in, sign up for lesson/video/biathlon, pick up package
2:30 - 4:30 pm: informal skiing in groups
4:30 - 5:00 pm: Welcome and weekend overview
5:00 - 6:00 pm: Waxing your skis with a coach (optional)
5:00 - 7:00 pm: Personal time
6:00 - 7:00 pm: Potluck at Chalet - bring to share
7:00 - 7:30 pm: Inspirational talk, training & technique tips, goal setting
7:30 - 9:00 pm: Social time, drinks at the Chalet
7:30 - 8:30 pm: Watch XC videos on technique

9:30 - 10:00 am: Group & individual warm-up and "seeding" loop to create personal baselining ski test starting order
10:00 - 10:30 am: Personal baselining ski test: ski a set distance and compare your time over the weekend and season.
11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Lessons by sign-up offered by certified coaches/instructors
10:30 am - 12:00 pm: Informal skiing groups based on goals, fitness, and ability.
12:00 - 1:30 pm: Lunch at the Chalet; chili included. Potluck side-dishes optional.
1:30 - 4:00 pm: Informal skiing groups based on goals, fitness, and ability.
2:00 - 3:00 pm: Lessons by sign-up
3:00 - 4:00 pm: Optional video recording of your skiing (time slots)
4:00 - 5:00 pm: (optional) video analysis with a coach/instructor of your skiing
4:00 - 6:00 pm: Get Rad - Stay Rad seminar (by $ sign up on Zone4 here) max 12
4:00 - 7:00 pm: Personal time, option to meet others for dinner
6:30 - 7:30 pm: Yoga (by $ sign up on Zone4 here) max 10
7:00 - 9:00 pm: Meet at local establishment for social
