- **Event Description**: Bring your quarters and get your holiday shopping done while supporting the PTO and small business. 
Maybe you're asking yourself "What is a Paddle party and How Does It Work?!"

Well...it's part raffle, part auction, part fundraiser and also a direct sales party. 

It works a bit like bingo. 
When you arrive, you will buy paddles (we ask that each vendor buy at least 1) Paddles are $4 each or 3-$10.
The paddles will have a corresponding numbered chip which will be put into the drawing bucket. 
Your paddles are how you bid ;)
The vendors will have items up for "auction". 
Once the auction begins, the announcer or one of the helpers will hold up the item that's up for bid and will introduce themselves and explain the item! 

If you're interested in bidding, you'll put one quarter for EACH paddle you intend to bid with. So if you have two paddles you want to bid with you'll put .50 in the bucket and raise your 
paddle(s). 
 A worker will be walking from table to 
table with a bucket to collect bids. The announcer will then draw a number to find a winner. If they draw your number and you had bid on the item, hooray! You just won an awesome item at a great price! 
  But remember, only the paddles you hold up and put a quarter in for will count! If they draw your number and you did NOT bid, just call out "dead paddle!" and they'll continue to draw numbers until they find a winner. 

There may be various raffles and cash and carry items available through the evening - the announcer and workers will help explain how those work. 
Be sure to bring quarters, but if you forget or run out, there will be quarters available for purchase at the event. 
If it all sounds complicated, relax! We will have a few practice rounds to make it smoother sailing!

*vendor fee is $40 and is nonrefundable. Fee must be paid by October 18, to secure your vendor spot. Failure to do will result in your spot going to the next vendor. 

*paddle money is donated directly to our cause at the end of the night, as well as any other donations made from patrons or vendors
