Are you considering getting raised garden beds? Or refreshing the ones that you already have? One technique is to use a Hügelkultur method. The Hügelkultur method is a sustainable gardening technique that uses buried wood and organic matter to create raised planting beds that retain moisture, improve soil fertility, and support long-term plant growth.
To help you learn this approach, the Curry County Master Gardeners are offering a public education workshop on Filling a raised bed using Hügelkultur method at the Curry Educational Greenhouse and Garden (CEGG) on December 5, from noon-2. (Note: rain cancels) Free but registration is required. Email
