The class will take place in the dining hall on Friday 6pm–10pm, Saturday 8am–10pm, and Sunday 8am-12pm.
This class is open to other troops as well!
Scouts, as well as adult leaders and parents are taught about disaster preparedness and the hazards that may impact their area. They are trained in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
Mid America TEEN CERT instructors will present the program to the students. Not only will the Scouts complete TEEN CERT, they have the opportunity to earn the Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, Safety, Fire Safety, Disabilities Awareness, Search & Rescue, and Wilderness Survival merit badges.
