This award-winning Exhibition on Screen film returns to cinemas in May 2026, just ahead of the major new Tate Britain exhibition, with exciting new footage and insights from the blockbuster Frida Kahlo: The Making of an Icon show in London and Houston.

Through her own letters, expert interviews and stunning close-ups of her artwork, the film reveals Frida’s rebellious spirit, her resilience through pain, and the passion that fuelled her extraordinary creativity. You’ll explore her life, her loves, her struggles – and the powerful symbolism woven through her art.

It’s an intimate, emotional and visually rich journey into the world of one of the most fascinating artists of the 20th century.
