- **Event Description**: Our mid-summer run from the June Breakfast Meeting is to a new venue for us and one which we think will be very popular.

The Rest, at Court Farm Kings Stanley, has plenty of space to display our cars and a large indoor eating area with a kitchen supplying excellent 'home cooked' food and drinks.

Like most of our runs, we will leave the Cross Hands at Old Sodbury just before 11am and wend our way via around 30 miles of our beautiful local countryside to reach the Rest around lunchtime. See below for the full route.

Please indicate here if you plan on coming so we can pass potential numbers to the site for catering purposes. It's open to anyone, but please support us by becoming a club member for what will surely be a really nice event.

Twenty eight miles, approximately one hour journey time
Turn left out of the Cross Hands car park and continue on the B4040 towards Acton Turville.

As you pass the 40mph sign and then the sign announcing Acton Turville, take the left fork signposted Malmesbury, Sherston, B4040.

Drive to the T junction and turn right following the signs for the B4040.

Take the next left turn after around 200 yards signposted ‘Through route, B4040’. This is the road to Malmesbury and Sherston. 

Drive through Luckington (30 mph limit) into Sherston (20 mph limit!!) and on towards Easton Grey. Stay on the B4040 for around 1.5 miles, passing through Pinkney. The road is fairly straight but as you approach a right hand bend take the left turn signposted to ‘Westonbirt’. If you go past the sign announcing Easton Grey, you have missed the turning by about 50 yards.

Travel along this road for 1.9 miles to the junction with the A433 Tetbury Road. Go straight across. The Hare and Hounds Hotel is on your left at this junction.

Stay on this road for 3.0 miles, passing the Beaufort Polo Club grounds on your left, to the junction with the A46 Bath Stroud road. Go straight across. 

After 1.2 miles you will come to a junction with the A4135. Turn left towards Dursley.

After 400 yards, you will pass the Hunters Hall pub on your left. Within another 400 yards, take the turn to the right, signposted Nympsfield, Frocester, B4058 and Kingscote Barn

You will come to a T junction after 600 yards. Turn right onto the B4058; no signposts I’m afraid.

Stay on this road for around 2.7 miles, through Cockadilly, to a road junction with the B4066. You need to go straight across and follow the road down the steep hill towards Frocester and Eastington.

Take care down the hill as it is long with tight bends, but some spectacular views across the Severn Vale.

Travel around through Frocester and into Eastington. At the roundabout by the Coop store, turn right.

After one mile, you will come to a roundabout with the A419. Turn right towards Stroud, Cirencester and Stonehouse.

Go straight across the first roundabout and then the second roundabout. At the third roundabout, the A419 Stroud is the third exit, take this third exit.

The road bends round to the left and you will then approach a set of traffic lights. Take the right turn at the lights signposted King’s Stanley.

Follow this road, passing Stanley Mill on the right, through the narrow section and up the slight hill. Follow the road around the left hand bend.

Go straight across the first mini roundabout and drive to the second roundabout. Take the first exit to the left of what used to be the Kings Head pub, now apparently with no signage but is apparently The Village Inn.

The Rest is 0.3 miles along this road on the right hand side as you begin to go up the hill. Drive to the right of the main building and down into the car park.
