An accessible way to be active, meet new people and discover your local area by water.About this EventAbout this EventGet active and enjoy walking by water on this free 3 hour guided walk.Led by our lovely local volunteers this is a great way to be active, meet people and spend time by water.Starting and finishing outside the Pilot Inn, Hardwicke, this circular, 5.5 mile walk (approx 3 hours) will explore the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal between Sellars & Sims bridges as well as explore a short section of the River Severn between Rea & Sims bridges. Whilst the route follows recognised footpaths the surface could be muddy and uneven at times. It's all about meeting people so come along on your own, or bring a friend, and stay for a cup of tea afterwards if you can.Well behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. Please wear comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing and bring a bottle of water.The best bus route from Gloucester city centre is the no. 12 with the stop at Elmgrove Road West.Book nowPlease book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards.
