Immerse yourself in pottery in beautiful, peaceful countryside.
A lovely relaxing 3 day, 2 night pottery retreat with optional B&B accommodation at our lovely farmhouse (or elsewhere if you prefer) focusing on pottery and relaxation in late spring, summer and autumn where you will get to immerse yourself in pottery and our beautiful country surroundings.
Small group size – max. 6 people. min. 2 people.
Our Retreats are suitable for complete beginners or those who have done pottery before.
What To Expect
Day 1 (Friday) – arrive around 1.30pm, introductions, tour of the pottery and our farmhouse and where you will be sleeping (if you are staying with us). Time to take in your surroundings & biscuits & a cuppa! A short class in the pottery looking at pinch pots and tiles/slab pots and a local walk to unwind with our dogs, collect woodland items to decorate pottery with during the weekend and some ‘Forest Bathing’. A home-cooked hearty evening meal at the farmhouse – maybe outside for BBQ or pizza if the weather is on our side!
Day 2 (Saturday) – breakfast at the farmhouse (if you are staying with us) followed by a day spent in the pottery studio learning and perfecting throwing on the wheel, coil pots and using the extruder. Lunch at the farmhouse and early evening walk to a local country pub (lift available for those who don’t want to walk) and meal out (pub meal not included in the price).
Day 3 (Sunday) – breakfast at the farmhouse (if you are staying with us). A walk through the woods to the famous Symonds Yat look out & views of the River Wye for photos and inspiration. Back to the studio to tidy, refine, decorate with slip, maybe scraffitto & add handles to the pots that we have made together accompanied by a buffet lunch. Depart around 3.30pm.

Prices start from £385.00 per person and excluding accommodation or from £505 including B&B accommodation (sharing) - single person supplements apply if you are coming alone.
