Cacao and Sound - A Journey to meet Hecate
As the sun enters 15 degrees of Scorpio and we experience the thinning of the veil between our worlds and the underworld we invite you to embark a powerful shamanic journey to meet the Goddess Hecate.
Working with Peruvian cacao from the Asháninka tribes traditionally used for shamanic journeying we will take you on a journey through a guided shamanic meditation to meet the dark Goddess Hecate and reveal the messages that she holds for you.
After the ceremony there will be some time for journalling, we will provide you with some journal prompts to help you integrate your experience.
If you can fast 4 hours before the ceremony this will help bring on the maximum effect of the cacao or if that isn’t possible or practical eat then please eat a light meal instead.
We will provide matts, blankets, pillows and cacao and cups, but if you would like to bring your own cup for the ceremony please feel free. Please bring water, a jounal and eye mask with your for a deeper experince.
The Cacao that we will be working with in this ceremony is of the Crillo variety produced by the Asháninka growers who make up one of the largest indigenous tribes in the Amazon rainforest in the central highlands of Peru. The Asháninka have created community-based conservation projects, reforesting their lands, and advocating for their rights on both national and international stages. The Asháninka growers have pioneered sustainable cacao cultivation as the first all indigenous co-operative in Peru, using their regenerative farming knowledge as a means to preserve their traditional ways of life and combat environmental destruction .
At a ceremonial dose the Crillo Cacao takes you on a much deeper inward journey, focussed on the higher chakras but particularly the heart and is the perfect ally to guide and nurture us through the evenings cacao ceremony and guided meditation.
Ingredients: Our Cacao is mixed with spring water, a dash of oat milk, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, bay leaves, agave syrup and some sacred spring water collected from The Chalice Well in Glastonbury.
