📢 Join us for an educational class held at the Mercantile On Broadway in downtown Glenwood, AR, with Dana Horn.
🫙 In this hands-on class, we will learn basic principles for pressure canning through practical application through demonstration from start to finish. You’ll also learn about canning techniques, safety measures, care of your equipment, and resources to help you get started.
🫛 You will leave with one pint of safely canned green beans.
👩🏻🏫 Dana Horn has 44 years of experience teaching family and consumer sciences classes including 33 years at Kirby High School as FACS Teacher and 10 years at Henderson State University FCS Department. In addition, Ms. Horn worked with Howard County Extension Service as SNAP education assistant for three years. She has been preserving foods by pressure canning for many years, learning through experience with her mother and sisters as well as classroom instruction.

⏰ Class starts at 6:00 p.m. BUT doors open at 5:30 so you are welcome to come in early and shop all of the local goods!
